OpsMerge vs Syncro

Flat per-tech. Real PSA. Where you sign up matters.

Syncro is one of the most credible OpsMerge analogues, flat per-tech pricing with a real PSA baked in. The differentiators are where your data lives, how mature the billing engine is, and how UK and EU MSPs are treated.

Credit where it's due. Syncro broke the per-endpoint model years before most of the cohort, shipped a real PSA that wasn't a ticket tab, and built one of the cleaner UIs in the segment. If you're looking for an MSP platform and Syncro is on your shortlist, you're shortlisting from the right places.

OpsMerge keeps the flat-pricing posture (per-MSP, not per-tech) and adds three things Syncro doesn't lead on: EEA-hosted data with published locations so EU and UK MSPs aren't second-class, a void-with-rollback billing engine that unwinds CDRs, credits and recurring periods in one action, and one SPA where the RMM, PSA, billing and portal share a database rather than feeling like stitched-together modules.

Where Syncro is better

  • Maturity, Syncro has shipped for years. The PSA, the integrations marketplace and the mobile app are all more polished than ours today.
  • US ecosystem, distributor integrations, accounting tools and parts vendors are deeply wired for US MSPs.
  • Marketplace breadth, wider third-party integration surface.

If you're a US MSP that wants polished today and doesn't care where your data lives, Syncro is a respectable choice.

Where OpsMerge wins

  • EEA-hosted data, published down to the city, not whichever region the vendor felt like.
  • GBP, your currency, not USD via FX surprise.
  • Void with full reversal, CDR release, credit reversal, recurring-period rollback in one action.
  • Built-in domain monitoring, SSL, DNS, WHOIS, DMARC server-side. No bolt-on subscription.
  • Founder voice, built by an MSP owner. UK / EU operator priorities baked in.
  • Open beta, no contract, self-service sign-up, use it. No annual minimum.
Pricing posture

OpsMerge vs Syncro on pricing

Syncro publishes flat per-tech pricing in USD. The per-tech model is friendly as you grow your endpoint base; the FX exposure for non-US MSPs is the catch.

Migration

Coming from Syncro? Here's what changes.

Migration is staged. Syncro asset records, ticket histories and recurring contract lines map cleanly onto OpsMerge shapes.

  1. Agent swap

Uninstall Syncro, install OpsMerge agent. Both can co-exist on an endpoint during a pilot ring.

  2. Ticket history

CSV / API export from Syncro maps to OpsMerge fields. Field mapping documented during onboarding.

  3. Recurring contracts

Syncro contract lines map to OpsMerge recurring lines. Auto-count carries forward without per-line rework.

  4. Scripts

PowerShell / Bash scripts paste in unchanged.

Realistic timeline: 2-3 weeks staged for a 6-tech, 400-endpoint MSP.

What MSPs migrating from Syncro tell us

The beta is open, and we don't have customer quotes yet. Real ones will land here. We don't fake them.

Common questions

  • Is OpsMerge cheaper than Syncro?
It depends on tech count. Syncro is per-tech in USD; OpsMerge is flat per-MSP in GBP. For UK / EU MSPs the FX exposure alone tilts the maths. Our pricing is public on the pricing page.
  • What is Syncro genuinely better at?
Maturity, US distributor ecosystem, integrations marketplace breadth, mobile app. We concede those openly.
  • Why pick OpsMerge over Syncro if the shape is similar?
EEA-hosted data with published locations, GBP pricing, deeper void-with-rollback billing, and founder accessibility during beta.
  • Can I migrate my Syncro contracts?
Yes. Recurring contract lines map cleanly. Auto-count carries forward without per-line rework.
  • Is the migration risky?
Staged rings, parallel running, validate the new telemetry against the old before cut-over. Standard pattern.
