RMM for MSPs
MSP RMM software without the tool sprawl.
A native, cross-OS RMM agent. Patch management. Scripts and automation. A live asset register that doubles as your billing source of truth. All on one platform, with the PSA as a peer, not a bolt-on.
Most MSP RMM tools were designed to monitor endpoints and stop there. The PSA, the billing, the automation, the docs, the client portal all got bolted on later or, more often, sold separately. So you ended up with a per-endpoint contract on one side, a per-tech contract on the other, a Zapier subscription gluing them together, and a quarterly meeting to argue about which vendor broke the integration.
OpsMerge is the opposite shape. The RMM, the PSA and the billing engine share one database, one event bus and one screen. The same agent that reports CPU is the same row your invoice line counts.

- One cross-OS agent
A single native binary for Windows, macOS and Linux. No Python or .NET runtime to ship with it. Self-updating with self-test and rollback.
- Real-time bidirectional comms
Live event stream over a TLS message bus. Server can ask, agent can push. No inbound firewall holes on customer endpoints.
- Asset register = billing register
The fleet you monitor is the fleet you bill from. Live agent counts roll into invoice lines on billing day, with a quantity snapshot for audit.
- Patch, script, automate
Windows Update API and Linux package manager patching, plus PowerShell, Bash and Python script execution with per-script timeouts.
What ships
The RMM pillars, in plain English
RMM agent
Cross-OS single binary. Telemetry, scripts, patches, remote access (OpsMerge Connect), self-update. Watchdog on Windows, systemd on Linux, launchd on macOS.
Asset management
Live agent fleet plus manual rows for printers, switches and network gear. Bulk tag, bulk billing-category, asset history.
Patch management
Policy-driven Windows and Linux patching, per-policy KB blocklist, fleet compliance dashboard, telemetry on every run.
Scripts and automation
PowerShell, Bash and Python. Stored, scheduled, multi-asset, per-organisation concurrency caps. RBAC on who can author and run.
Domain monitoring
SSL, DNS, WHOIS, DMARC and SPF. Server-side checks on a shared job runner. Bulk-import via CSV.
Reporting
Operational dashboards, compliance posture, SLA performance, audit log. Real-time agent telemetry, RBAC-aware filtering.
RMM questions
The things MSPs ask us before they switch
What is RMM software?
RMM (remote monitoring and management) software lets MSPs install a lightweight agent on every endpoint they look after, then monitor health, push patches, run scripts and produce billing telemetry from a central console. OpsMerge ships a single cross-OS agent that covers Windows, macOS and Linux from one binary. Is OpsMerge a full RMM, or just an RMM module?
A full RMM. Agent, asset register, patch management, scripts and automation, domain monitoring, reporting. The difference is the PSA and billing sit on the same database, not a separate vendor. How does the OpsMerge agent compare to NinjaOne or Atera?
Cross-OS single binary, real-time bidirectional message bus, self-update with self-test and rollback. NinjaOne has a deeper automation library and mobile app today; Atera is faster to onboard in week one. We have a dedicated comparison page for each — see /compare/ninjaone and /compare/atera.Does the agent work behind firewalls and proxies?
Yes. All traffic is outbound over TLS to the message bus. HTTP CONNECT proxy is supported. No inbound firewall holes required on customer endpoints. Can I run OpsMerge RMM alongside my current RMM during migration?
Yes. Both agents can co-exist on an endpoint during a staged migration. We typically pilot a ring, validate the new telemetry matches the old, then cut over.Is OpsMerge RMM available without the PSA?
Every tenant gets the full platform — RMM and PSA together, on one database — and that is the shape at GA too. We do not split them into separate SKUs. Use as much or as little of the PSA as you like; you are not charged per-module.
